Ocki - Lux in 2021

Another year has passed.

2020/2021 stood in the sign of the Corona all over the world. But life goes on anyway.

Ella is now 7 years old and is an ordinary girl, starting in 3rd grade in September.

She is developed mentally well and has no injuries from the premature birth. She is smart, speaks 3 languages, and loves her dog, her friends and her school.

Unfortunately we have not been able to meet for our Ocki meetings, but luckily the crochet hooks have been going well anyway.

In 2020, we delivered 374 Ockis to the two clinics and 63 comfort animals to CHL Kannerklinik's intensive care unit. The ward is located in the immediate vicinity of the neonatal ward and takes care of seriously ill children aged 1-15 years.

We have received a lot of support for our Ocki group. New crocheters are still being added. We have been visiting various hobby groups around the country who all want to crochet Ockis.

On average, it takes about 5 hours to make an ocki. It is always a great pleasure to receive the sweet, funny and sometimes very imaginativeOckis, and more so to be able to pass them on to the hospitals.

In the Neonatal wards, they are happy with the Ockis. The wards receive positive feedback from the parents, and most parents leave the Ocki with the baby.

Kannerklinik's intensive care unit receives small comfort animals from the Ocki group.

We support the association "Trøstemus.dk", - an organization in Denmark which consists of volunteers all over the country who crochet small mice for all hospital wards in Denmark, where children come into contact with the hospital system. Including the emergency rooms.

A big thanks to everyone involved in supporting our Ocki project here in Luxembourg. Both as active crocheters or otherwise.

If you have cotton yarn , which you no longer need, we would like to receive it. Or maybe you want to crochet with us. The group annually make about 350 Ockis, which we donate to premature children at CHLKannerklinik, Neonatal Department and Clinique Dr. Bohler in Luxembourg.

Our beautiful logo is designed by Stine Gram from Silkeborg. Stine has among other things illustrated Danish children's books.
